Treatment of Necks and Backs
Thérèse has considerable experience in the treatment of neck and back pain and stiffness. She will take the time to assess you and explain the likely cause of your pain. Thérèse uses a variety of hands-on techniques to ensure you improve as quickly as possible. She will also teach you some exercises and stretches to do at home so you can speed up your recovery. In addition to this, Thérèse will teach you some strategies to manage your pain and decrease the possibility of recurrence.

Sports Injuries
Thérèse has had significant experience treating a wide range of sporting injuries. She has treated patients from recreational sports participants through to ACT level athletes. Thérèse has treated patients with injuries from sports such as netball, football (soccer), AFL, Rugby, basketball, softball, tennis, cricket and dancing. She has completed the KNEE (Knee injury prevention for netballers to enhance performance and extend play) program and is a nationally endorsed KNEE program provider. She enjoys working with patients and seeing them improve so they can return to the sports they love.

Musculoskeletal Injuries (including GLAD)
Thérèse treats a wide range of injuries such as muscle, tendon and ligament strains and tears, as well as joint and cartilage injuries. Thérèse looks for the cause of pain and addresses both the cause and any resulting joint stiffness or muscle tightness. She assesses posture, and the influence of ergonomic factors at home or in the workplace that may contribute to injuries.
Thérèse uses a variety of 'hands-on' techniques such as soft tissue (massage) therapy and joint mobilisations when treating her patients. She combines this with a home program of movement, strength and stability exercises to enable patients to reach their optimum potential.

Thérèse also runs the GLAD program which assists people who have knee and hip osteoarthritis. The program is conducted either in small groups (maximum of 2 people) or on an individual basis. She focuses on improving people's strength, stability and function, thereby decreasing pain.

Post-Op Physio
Thérèse has experience in assisting patients from the pre-op period through to the end of their post-op phase. She has treated a wide variety of patients who have undergone surgery for operations such as arthroscopies, total knee and hip replacements, ACL reconstructions, shoulder decompressions and rotator cuff repairs, and foot and ankle surgery. Thérèse can communicate with your treating Specialist to ensure your rehabilitation is on-track and can assist you to improve your movement, strength and stability.
