Thérèse Keily-Wynter

Welcome to My Practice

Thérèse was born and completed her primary and secondary education in Canberra. She graduated from Cumberland College of Health Sciences in Sydney (now the University of Sydney) in 1989. Thérèse opened her practice in Weston in 2018. She lives locally and has been actively involved in the Weston Creek community since 2008.

Thérèse has expertise in a wide variety of musculoskeletal injuries including neck and back pain, hip bursitis, sporting and tendon injuries, post-op physio and various arthritic conditions. She enjoys treating patients of all ages, including children and adolescents. Thérèse loves working with her patients and seeing their movement, strength and fitness improve so they can reach their optimum function.

 

Thérèse is an accredited provider of the GLAD program, an exercise and education program developed to assist people who have hip and knee osteoarthritis. The program is aimed at improving people's strength, stability and function, thereby also decreasing their pain.
Thérèse has a maximum of 2 people in a group, and times are organised to suit participants.

 

Thérèse has extensive experience as a Physiotherapist in both Australia and the UK. She has enjoyed working in Canberra at a large private physiotherapy practice from 2008-2018, as well as treating patients in 2 private practices, one being a dedicated hand clinic in Albury prior to that.

Thérèse worked for the armed forces over a period of 10 years at Latchford Barracks, Albury-Wodonga. She has also worked in the public health system including The Canberra Hospital and Kings College Hospital in London. In addition to this, Thérèse has significant experience in undertaking workplace assessments, as well as physical and functional assessments.  

Since 2008, Thérèse has also worked as a Physiotherapist with patients from Companion House, a community based organisation that provides support to refugees and asylum seekers who have sought safety in Australia from persecution, war and trauma. 

Thérèse is married with three young adults and loves the outdoors and travelling to new and interesting destinations.
